What an awesome game, theres a lot more depth to the fight mechanics than you may think. RE complaints about controls obscuring the view, select "window" mode in settings. Perfect!

Great port. Fun, and unlike others, I dont have problems with the controls on the iPad. However, I dont see the difference in difficulty settings. level 1 is the same as level 8. I keep getting to the third fight and its too impossible to beat on level 1 or 8. Please fix! Such a tease that I cant go on.

It is a good game. Now maybe its user error but this game is super hard; even on level 1. And touch controls definitely dont make it any easier. If u want a game u cant beat, this is the one!

Its on sale. I bought it. Its a great memory of days gone by, feeding quarters into a machine. But as many reviewers noted and I didnt quite believe, its too hard. Thats on level 1 out of 8. Its tough enough getting used to the virtual control, the ai engine is ramped up a bit too much. The practice round helps, but then fighter 1 is good, the next one is impossible. When youd cuss or beat up on the machine in the old days, it weighed 300 lbs and was made out of laminated plywood. It could take it. Now I have to play this freakin game where my kids wont hear me and I have to remember not to punch my iPad. Theres nothing like having that joystick and buttons for nailing those key moves. You can adjust the size and placement on the screen of the joystick and buttons. That helps. I look forward to future updates. At the same time, Ill keep practicing. The port is phenomenal.

This game plays okay on an iPhone. On an iPad, the controls are so large that you cannot use them. When you try to reconfigure the controls, buttons get stuck under the joystick and they cannot be moved. This essentially renders the game useless on an iPad.

SNK, you need to update and fix this game immediately. The AI is extremely difficult, virtually impossible and unplayable to beat, like everyone said even on level 1 setting. When you press on button such as the AB and CD buttons, all buttons are pressed. Do NOT recommend buying this game until an update resolves this game.

I loved this game in the arcade when I was younger, and was so excited to see it when it came out on iOS. However, the port is horrible. The controls are not responsive at all, and when I press back I would actually jump. The game is a very hard game even at the easiest setting. Actually, the settings dont do anything at all. It is the same difficulty no matter what you do. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! IT IS UNPLAYABLE.

Setting on easy is set on hard and it gets harder from that. Worthless and not worth the money!!! No stars!!!

i see people complaining its too hard, well boohoo to that, ive never remember this as an easy game arcade always had it on hardest level, but the fact the controls are just horrible is frustrating! cant do anything no matter how i try to fix the button size and position, fix and upgrade, you are ruining the nostalgic moment with horrible control settings will 2 star this until fixed

Buttons by default are huge and covered the entire screen. So, you would think changing buttons size would fix it. Nope! It is broken as long as the buttons are overlapped with the direction keys, you are out of luck. Cant believe SNK can release a game without testing the basic one. I know this is an emulator, but doesnt mean that they even have more time to test the basic functions?

I wont tell u anything, anyone else hasnt said here. Great port, control is difficult without actual joystick but, if you played n the arcade n the day, its almost exactly the same. Some have said thats it too hard! Its exactly as hard as I remember to beat certain characters (Genjuro & Hanzo to name a couple),

Mfi controller support

I really really wanted to like this game, and have been waiting for years and years and years for an IOS port. However, I am forced to admit that the game is currently unplayable. The controls are way too sluggish for peer play or the AI, which as others have noted is unenjoyably hard and plays cheap. Moreover, the AI plays differently than I remember in the arcade.

Buttons all over the place cant reconfigure though most work now. Even when it asks you to rate game it cant get you there. Hope they can fix

Great job fixing the bugs that affected ipad users. The new update seems to have ios 7 mfi controller support added, but its broken and doesnt work properly. Only the dpad, left analog stick, and one attack button works; the rest dont work at all. Nothing happens when the other buttons are pressed. Please update and fix so controller support works just as great as it does on kof 98. Also needs an option to change button inputs when connected to a controller. Right now, its great for using the touchscreen, but once it gets properly updated for ios 7 and fully supports working MFI controller function, only then can it become 5 stars and be as great as the kof 98 port. May need to update the app to require minimum ios 7 firmware (just like kof 98) to fix controller issues. The majority of people are already using ios7 or higher.

please fix this game every time i play this game i play it and one of the buttons is still messing with the main menu at the same time im playing my game in the background

CAPCOM does not even try to modify this game for iOS…. For example, the fingers will definitely block the screen, while in street fighter iv, the center of game interface is moved from screens bottom to the center of the screen so that the fingers will not block the sight.

*I would also like to see more from SNK playmore! The fighting series is the best hands down!
